I’m a Linux user now

It took a few tries, but I finally got the old Dell Latitude CPx with 128 MB RAM to accept the Xubuntu 7.10 “Gutsy Gibbon” alternate install.

Considering the age of the computer and the available memory, the install – once I got the appropriate OS – was pretty painless. The Dell, to which I gave the host name Ophelia, does not have a network card. I ordered a Linksys wireless card from Amazon for $20 with shipping. I’ll be curious to see how that works
